Independent contractors are self-employed. Independent contractors engage in a contracted agreement to provide services to AdelCare II, Inc consumers in exchange for an agreed upon fee. Independent contractors are not placed on an employer’s payroll. Instead, the independent contractor invoices AdelCare II, Inc for work performed and receives payment according to the Invoice Payment Calendar. AdelCare II, Inc does not withhold federal, state, and local taxes from the payment, and the independent contractor is responsible for satisfying all tax obligations. All income earned during the course of a calendar/tax year is reported to the independent contractor and to the federal government on form 1099-MISC.
As an independent contractor you work for yourself and you are accountable as a business owner to verify the income of your business. AdelCare II, Inc can provide you with a Bill Payment Report and if needed we can also provide you with a copy of a standard verification letter of Direct Service Provider Independent Contractor. All requests will be processed within one week.
